Apprenticeship:
Training as a specialist for wastewater technology (m/f/d) takes place in our company's own wastewater treatment plant. During the three-year training period you will learn the exact procedures in the wastewater treatment plants. In addition to monitoring and controlling the systems, professional handling of the computer and basic knowledge of the laboratory are required. You will also be expected to perform tasks such as cleaning or maintenance work, as well as electronic work on the systems and equipment in the sewage treatment plant.

During your apprenticeship you will be accompanied by "AzubiPlus", an additional qualification measure that can only be found at Delkeskamp. An external trainer comes to our company for a total of 10 workshop days per training year to work with the apprentices on various topics, such as communication and perception, project management and rhetoric, which you can apply directly during your everyday training and in the projects assigned to you.

During the vocational training the following skills and knowledge are taught:
  • Operation and monitoring of the entire wastewater cycle
  • Basic skills of electrical work in a sewage treatment plant
  • Chemical wastewater analysis (laboratory analysis)
  • Maintenance and servicing of machines and equipment

Vocational school: block training; travel to vocational school, accommodation and meals at school are paid for

Packaging technologist (m/f/d)

Apprenticeship:
As a packaging materials technologist (m/f/d) you will learn to produce packaging materials - i.e. packaging for a wide variety of goods, i.e. on our premises: Corrugated cardboard cartons. In detail, this means dealing with computer-controlled high-performance machines, i.e. setting the machine for new orders, changing tools, providing colours, etc. Other tasks during your training include creating packaging designs using CAD (a programme for designing and constructing geometric shapes in order to display them in two or three dimensions) and learning the basics of metalworking. You will pass through all areas of a corrugated cardboard plant, where you will learn about paper processing and the production of corrugated cardboard. Further training contents are print preparation, die making and packaging development. It is therefore a versatile and interesting apprenticeship.

During your apprenticeship you will be accompanied by "AzubiPlus Projekt Zukunft"(ApprenticePlus Project Future), an additional qualification measure which can only be found at Delkeskamp.   • Toolmaking (repair of defective tools)
  • Corrugated cardboard processing (adjusting the production equipment according to specifications)


Vocational school:
Block training, usually 3 weeks in a row at the Vocational School in Elmshorn, Germany. Travel to school, accommodation and meals are paid for.

Apprenticeship:
The training takes place in our electrical workshop. The tasks in the workshop consist of repairing and maintaining the numerous production machines and the electrical systems in the production halls and offices. If necessary, the electrical workshop also carries out new machine assemblies. In the apprenticeship, great importance is attached to independent work. This means that almost all the work is carried out by the apprentices themselves on their own responsibility.

Such tasks are, for example:
  • Independent development and installation of electrical circuits for various applications
  • Replacing the required electrical parts in the machine switch cabinets
  • Measurement and analysis of electrical functions and systems
  • Configuration and programming of automation systems
  • Installation and configuration of IT systems

The training as a paper technologist (m/f/d) takes place in our paper mill. During the three-year training period you will learn how to handle the paper machine correctly. In addition to using the machine, professional handling of the computer and basic knowledge in the field of measurement and control technology are required. You will be trained in the ultramodern paper making centre in Gernsbach (Baden-Württemberg). The papermaking school (a commercial vocational school) there offers the apprentices 16 weeks of block training in modern demonstration and laboratory facilities every year.

During your training, AzubiPlus Projekt Zukunft (ApprenticePlus Project Future), an additional qualification measure that can only be found at Delkeskamp, will accompany you. An external trainer comes to our company for a total of 10 workshop days per training year to work with the apprentices on various topics, such as communication and perception, project management and rhetoric, which you can apply directly during your everyday training and in the projects assigned to you.

The course of study takes place at the Institute for Dual Study Programmes in Lingen and is divided into 6 semesters. The course of study is divided into a basic study period (1-4 semesters) with study contents such as general business administration, accounting, controlling, data processing, sales management etc. and an advanced/main study period (5-6 semesters) in which the students deal with their chosen specialisation and write their bachelor thesis.
